School Issues

All entrance and exit routes open directly onto the footprint of the school

The classrooms are aspected to overlook the hill slope site . To develop on this location would allow a window of distracrion to the childrens education with children looking directly into homes and bedrooms fromn the classroom

A recent OFSTED report highlights the value of the local environment in contributing to the school. A large developement ( of Upward of 250 houses ) would impact of the local nature wildlife and surrounding area and therefore on any subsequent nature trips or environmental education

The nature and duration of this development would mean constant disruption of anything up to 2 years at the locality directly outside the school and therefore have a direct consequence

In addition some concern has been waged on the loss or use of the School playing fields to make good POS ( Public Open Space) on the site allowing higher hosue builds of he 7.5 Ha footprint. The UDP celarly indicatesa role ofschool playing fields in this context. This is concerning as Children current have limitted hardstanding on whcuh they used and the loss of green areas is a safety issue as indeed would it be if POS was used in association with school activities Re Child Protection Issues . Mrs Brown the Head Teacher has declined to comment on these management issues .

The governing board is also chaired by Les Webb of Webb Seger Moorehouse , principle archectects to the scheme and who stopped earlier this year the board of govenors hearing these facts in the light of a near neighbourhood notificatuion letter sent to the school , which would allowed govenors a platfrom or means to verse their concerns should they wish to collectively make objection.

It is the intention of the Save Our Heritage Campaign to utilise the ransom strip area to promote a protected woodland nature trail area from the base of the school to the entrance to Judy Woods by way of the Village Green Application thereby serving the needs of the community.

Please be aware the contamination report indicates the removal of soil containing levels of Arsenic and Mercury which under dry and dusty conditions could disperse if handled inapropriately. Such events are clearly in close proximity to the school

Lack of awareness on these issues by govenors is concerning at issues of probity of the chair have been raised with education Bradford who have failed to respond.

It is most disturbing to know that the Governance Body of Education Bradford does not have any formulated procedures on policing govenors other than to refer the matter back to the very same board or chair of that board who contributed to the state of affairs the first instance
